For the first time this decade, the cost of a wedding — now averaging close to $29,000, according to Wedding Report Inc., which researches trends in the wedding industry — is expected to dip slightly. In these hard times, wedding experts are increasingly dealing with what they call “budget brides.”

Great information that we are all aready facing, with even harder times here in Michigan. It was odd that MSNBC never mentioned any view point from a videographer and it is added to the MIVA Blog…
I would think it’s on the MIVA site because it addresses the wedding industry as a whole and videography is part of the wedding industry. If the average cost of a wedding is $29,000, part of that $29,000 should be for a videographer. If it’s not, we need to figure out better ways to improve our image so videography becomes an essential part of the bride’s wedding day.
