May Recap: Art of Posing

Ann Arbor photographer Aruna B. was generous enough to spend a couple of days with MIVA. At the Wednesday night meeting she presented the Art of Posing to MIVA members. It was a great turnout. The event was sponsored by LCD 4 Video, who provided a 7″ HD LCD monitor to raffle.

On Thursday, MIVA members were able to take what they learned to the streets during the sold out Art of Posing Workshop in Royal Oak, Michigan. The workshop provided 2 hours of intensive hands on training setting up poses, so that a filmmaker gets to use their time with the bride and groom to the fullest. Attendees were able to shadow Aruna to see how she goes about evaluating surroundings, including light and background elements, and setting up the shot. Anyone who wanted was welcome to jump in and try their own ideas and get a bit of coaching from Aruna.
