Epic Motion is a wedding and event video production company that creates cinema style digital films to capture, celebrate and preserve life’s most amazing moments. Our studio is located just north of Detroit in the super knarly city of Royal Oak. We like filmmaking and we love Detroit, and Michigan, and everywhere else. Mostly.

Our local association has continued to raise the bar in our industry for event filmmaking. With that and the great friendships that I’ve developed, I’m so happy to be part of this great group.

Hey there! I’m Shelby, co-owner of Forever Cherished Productions and recently married myself! That immediately makes it a lot easier for me to connect with the bride and understand what it’s like to be in her shoes!

Since joining MIVA I can honestly say our creativity and product has improved greatly. MIVA gives us an amazing opportunity to be able to see what other videographers are doing elsewhere in the country and learn what has worked and not worked for them. Also it’s awesome to make friends along the way who are as passionate about their “job” as we are!

I am a wedding cinematographer and the owner of TruVision Studios. While in film school, I decided to shoot weddings on the side in order to fund student films. I quickly learned that weddings are one of the most challenging and fulfilling stories to tell.

I love what I do, and am honored to have the privilege of sharing and capturing the most important day in the lives of the couples that I work with. In 5 short years I have earned a spot among the most respected studios in my market. I credit much of my success to the community of videographers from around the globe who go above and beyond to mentor and inspire our industry to constantly grow and evolve. I am excited to be a part of MIVA, and am dedicated to the continued education of our industry.

I’m Joe Bauer, co-owner and Director/Producer at Joseph F Bauer Studios, a wedding and event filmmaker. Creating Beautiful Stories is our mission, and we love working with people to turn their precious moments into memories that they’ll treasure forever. MIVA is an organization dedicated to upgrading the quality of video work produced by its members in Michigan, and I’m proud to be a part of that. I look forward to an exciting time helping other companies to improve as I learn from others, and we all produce a better product for our clients.

Eric Kmetz | Epic Motion

What’s happenin! I’m Eric Kmetz, an assistant producer at Epic Motion. I’m relatively new to the industry, about to hit my one year mark. My claim to fame? I’m one of the few single wedding filmmakers. My role at Epic Motion is a shooter, editor, producer, and to be as awesome as I possibly can.

I’m stoked to be involved in MIVA because of the huge number of networking and learning opportunity the group presents.

I’m Aaron, co-owner of Forever Cherished Productions. I worked in the corporate production world for 4 years before finding my true love of wedding videos. It’s so amazing being able to be a part of a couples most special day. Being a part of MIVA is a great opportunity to learn from videographers who are making an impact on our industry.

Andy Owen | Owen Video

I’m Andy Owen, the primary shooter and editor as well as the driving force behind Owen Video. My goal is to make sure your wedding day is captured and remembered in a fashion that well exceeds your expectations. That being said, I’m actually just a guy who loves what I do and gets to work from home while spending time with my wife and daughter.

Being a part of MIVA offers an unprecedented (and otherwise unheard of) opportunity to keep myself, and the quality of my work, accountable to other professionals in my field who might in any other region be considered “competition.”

Mark Solloum | VideoMagic Productions

In the beginning of time, a video production company was formed to film the wedding of Adam and Eve…okay, maybe it was 1987. Anyway, VideoMagic Productions was actually founded in 1987 and has since been a leader in cutting-edge techniques and cinematic style in wedding movies. Although I’ve become one of the “older” guys in recent years, at 42 I can still do a pretty fast 40 yard sprint…with my camera. As a former MIVA president, I understand the need for an awesome board and am proud to be a part of this organization and what it has accomplished in recent years. Keep on rockin’ as we watch MIVA become a vital part to the event production community!
