Past Meeting – April 2010
April 7, 2010 – Why Wedding Coordinators ROCK (and why filmmakers should care)
Lindsey Nartker from Lindsey Nartker Designs and Laura Davis of Laura Davis Events will be presenting to our association on April 7th. Thing that we will be discussing will include the best way to improve coordinator & filmmaker relationships, what does a coordinator look for when referring a filmmaker, and how studios can better market to brides. There will be plenty of time for Q&A – so bring your questions! See you in April!
More about our presenters:
About Lindsey

After earning her BA in Hospitality Management from Madonna University and spending four years training and learning the business of weddings, Lindsey opened the doors to Lindsey Nartker Designs. Inspired by a great teacher, a love for hospitality, and everything beautiful, her desire is to create events that are a true and honest reflection of the couples she works with. By allowing couples to infuse their own personalities and ideas into their wedding, combined with exceptional planning and leadership, Lindsey feels that one has truly reached the epitome of a great event.
If not at an event, you can usually find Lindsey reading a good book, outside enjoying the great seasons that Michigan offers, or planning a crazy get-away with her husband Adam.
About Laura

With a background in public relations and corporate event planning, Laura Davis has been planning weddings and social events for the past nine years and has earned a solid reputation with clients and other wedding professionals. She works to incorporate the personal style and personalities of her clients into each wedding that she designs and believes that an event’s success lies in the details. She feels that by bringing together the right team of professionals for an event, amazing things can happen.
Laura and her husband, Mike, have three children – ages 9, 7, and 3 – all of whom know more about weddings than most grooms.
