WEVA + Editors Meeting Recap

Thanks to Ryan Koral for taking some pics and making a quick highlight montage at Animoto.

We had a great meeting last night at Bastone’s! The editor’s showdown was a duel between Jamie from Jamie Honce Productions, Rochester, and Alex from Fifth and Main, Bloomfield. Jamie and Alex did a great job using some of Glen Elliott’s prep footage. It’s always interesting to see the unique edits people can come up with depending on song choice and shot selection, even though they have the exact same footage to use. Thanks to Jamie and Alex for taking the time to edit pieces together to share with us.

John Zale headed up the question and answer session for the Editor’s Showdown, and then went into describing the benefits of joining a group like WEVA- Wedding and Event Videographer’s Association. George Haddad from George’s Video and LCD4Video.com demonstrated a new product line of LCD lights his company is carrying. We were able to use and see several on camera lighting options including the Litepanels Micro and R-50.
